Annie’s Brings Goodness to the Frozen Aisle

Annie’s Inc. launched Pizza Poppers and Mini Pizza Bagels in the frozen aisle, providing consumers a better-for-you alternative to conventional frozen pizza snacks.

Just prior to being acquired by General Mills in September, Annie’s Inc. launched Pizza Poppers and Mini Pizza Bagels in the frozen aisle, providing consumers a better-for-you alternative to conventional frozen pizza snacks.

The poppers are bite-sized snacks filled with melted cheese and tomato sauce, wrapped in a golden crust. The bagels are made with whole grains and contain 10g of protein per serving. With no artificial flavors or synthetic colors, families can enjoy the delicious taste of pizza in bite-sized snacks and feel good about the ingredient list. Both product lines use 100 percent real cheese made from milk from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones.

Prepared in the microwave or oven, both lines come in three popular varieties: Uncured Pepperoni, Three Cheese (Monterey Jack, mozzarella and white cheddar) and Combination (uncured pepperoni, sausage and cheese). The uncured meats are made without the use of the chemical curing agents sodium nitrate or sodium nitrite. A 5-oz. pack of poppers retails for about $3.99, while the 6.65-oz. bagel pack has a suggested price of $4.99.
