Udi’s Gluten Free is expanding its frozen offerings to include premium breakfast and lunch burritos along with Italian-inspired skillet meals.

While sales in the billion-dollar frozen food industry have declined by 5 percent, the gluten-free frozen category continues to explode, growing by more than 40 percent year-over-year as consumers demand high-quality, gluten-free foods, according to Boulder Brands Inc. In response, the company is expanding its Udi’s Gluten Free frozen offerings to include premium breakfast and lunch burritos along with Italian-inspired skillet meals.

“Udi’s is rooted in the entrepreneurial spirit,” says Denise Sirovatka, vice president of marketing. “We are always experimenting with product development to deliver on the Udi’s promise of providing delicious gluten-free food.”

The breakfast burrito line includes Egg, Sausage & Cheddar; Uncured Bacon & Cheddar; Chicken Apple Sausage; and Egg White, Southwest Veggies & Cheese. For lunch, there’s Bean & Green Chile; Chicken; Spicy Southwest Veggie; and Steak. All the burritos have a suggested retail price of $3.99. Skillet Meals serve two and retail for $11.99.
