EB eggs now have six-times more vitamin D than ordinary eggs.

Eggland’s Best (EB) eggs now have six-times more vitamin D than ordinary eggs. Vitamin D is essential for good bone health and helps to support the immune, brain and nervous systems. It also may aid in fighting diseases and conditions such as cancer, type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis.

EB eggs also are now an excellent source of vitamins B2 and B5. Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, plays an important role in the production of energy by helping convert carbohydrates into sugar, while vitamin B5 is a nutrient essential for bodies to synthesize and metabolize proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Compared to ordinary eggs, EB eggs contain 25 percent less saturated fat, more than double the omega-3 fatty acids, 10 times more vitamin E, and more than double the amount of vitamin B12. This superior nutrition profile is due to the company’s proprietary all-vegetarian hen feed that contains healthy grains, canola oil and a wholesome supplement of rice bran, alfalfa, sea kelp and vitamin E.

The brand is rolling out Eggland’s Best Organic Hard-Cooked Peeled Eggs sourced from cage-free hens. And, in honor of patriotic summer holidays, Eggland’s Best Classic Eggs are available in limited-edition patriotic packaging.
