Good Foods Rolls Out New Line of Refrigerated Salad Dressings

Nov. 16, 2017
The better-for-you dressing is available in six varieties.

Good Foods is rolling out a new line of refrigerated salad dressings. The six varieties--Apple Thyme, Asian Ginger, Avocado Ranch, Beet Balsamic, Blue Cheese and Classic Caesar—are made with fresh herbs, including shallots, parsley, chives and dill, and fresh produce, including carrots, avocados, apples, onions and garlic. They also use cold-pressed juices from carrots, beets, apples, lemons and oranges. All Good Foods’ dressings are high-pressure processed to capture the flavors and to maintain freshness. They come in 8.8-oz. bottles and are merchandised in the refrigerated produce department with a suggested retail price of $3.99.

“Consumers are demanding fresher, cleaner dressings and dips that deliver incredible flavor without having to add artificial ingredients or preservatives,” says Mandy Bottomlee, marketing director. “We’re excited that we are able to offer a line of dressings based on real, simple ingredients.”

Data from Chicago-based IRI supports continued growth in the refrigerated dressing category. While shelf-stable dressings have seen flat to declining growth over the past few years, sales of refrigerated offerings grew 3.1% during the last 12 weeks ended July 30.
