For more than 60 years, Bob Evans Farms Inc., a company now owned by Post Holdings Inc., has been making quick-to-table, farm-fresh food. Its latest innovation is Family Classics refrigerated meal solutions. The initial launch is Roasted Chicken Alfredo Pasta and Creamy Chicken & Noodles. The former features oven-roasted white meat and penne pasta in a creamy Alfredo sauce, which is made with milk, butter and Parmesan cheese. The latter is also made with oven-roasted white meat and includes egg noodles, peas and diced red bell peppers in a savory cream sauce. A package contains 2.5 servings, with one serving providing 16g of protein and less than 350 calories.
“Our consumers have been requesting new delicious, protein-filled foods from us to make their mealtime easier and more filling. We’ve listened and have been busy in the kitchen finding the solution,” says Chris Lambrix, senior vice president of retail business development. “We’ve created these two filling and flavorful Family Classic dishes to provide consumers access to convenient food, ready in just minutes in the microwave, that doesn’t compromise taste or quality. They are made with real ingredients and never frozen.”
