Utz Brands has created the position of chief growth officer and filled it with the CEO of a company it acquired last year.
Shane Chambers will be Utz’s first chief growth officer and EVP. He had been CEO of Truco Enterprises, which made On the Border branded tortilla chips and related products. Utz acquired Truco late last year. Before that, he was CEO of Tillamook Country Smoker and general manager of jerky processor Krave Pure Foods.
As chief growth officer, Chambers will head Utz’s marketing and branding teams, and will help continue the integration of Truco into Utz.
In addition, Utz promoted Mark Schreiber to EVP of sales and chief customer officer. His added responsibilities include managing sales for the Truco/On the Border division, which does about $300 million a year in business.
