Hormel Foods has promoted an executive to help integrate the imminent purchase of the Planters line from Kraft Heinz, and another executive to replace the first one.
Jeff Frank will be vice president of Hormel’s Grocery Products division. One of his primary duties will be the strategic integration of Planters nuts and other snacks when the sale is completed, which is expected by the second quarter of this year. Hormel bought the Planters portfolio from Kraft Heinz for $2.79 billion in a deal announced earlier this month.
Frank had been vice president of marketing for Hormel’s Foodservice business. To replace him in that role, Hormel is promoting Annemarie Vaupel from director of marketing for Foodservice.
“The Planters acquisition is the largest in the company’s history and one that is going to require dedicated leadership and significant focus,” Hormel CEO Jim Snee said in a statement. “Jeff has broad experience within Hormel Foods and brings extensive retail, foodservice, operational and marketing experience to this new role within our Grocery Products business.”
