Barilla's Inclusive Workplace Business Model Wins 2021 Catalyst Award

Barilla is being recognized for its inclusive workplace through the 2021 Catalyst Award, which will be awarded in March 2021.

Barilla is being awarded a 2021 Catalyst Award for the work it's done to create an inclusive workplace. That's according to the company, which made the announcement on January 26.

Catalyst, founded in 1962, is a nonprofit organization that expands opportunities for women in business globally. Its annual Catalyst Awards recognize initiatives corporations have taken to accelerate and advance women into their leadership.

The food company is being recognized for its inclusion of LGBTQ+ employees and all underrepresented groups working for the family-owned company.

According to the company, between 2013 to 2020, the number of women within Barilla who report directly to the CEO increased from 8% to 28%. In addition, the number of women within Barilla who report to the Global Leadership Team also grew from 23% to 36% from 2014 to 2020; and all women in positions globally increased from 33% to 38%.

The company also achieved gender pay equality in 2020 globally for all employees.
