PepsiCo Hires New Strategy Officer

A veteran of Accenture has been named to the new post of chief strategy and transformation officer at PepsiCo.

A veteran of Accenture has been named to the new post of executive vice president and chief strategy and transformation officer at PepsiCo.

Athina Kanioura had been with Accenture, a global consultancy, for 15 years, rising to the position of chief analytics officer and global head of applied intelligence. She has worked with companies including P&G, Unilever, Philip Morris, Vodafone and BP.

Her job at PepsiCo, reporting directly to CEO Ramon Laguarta, was described in a company release as leading “PepsiCo's end-to-end strategy to win both as a total company and in key markets, including the company's digitalization and data strategy.”

"PepsiCo is an industry leader known for its commitment to innovation and continuous technological advancement," Kanioura said in the release. "I look forward to contributing new perspectives and working across functions and geographies to lead a digital transformation strategy that delivers on the company's long-term business goals and Faster, Stronger, Better priorities."
