Clif Bar & Co. has hired a Tyson Foods executive as its new CEO, passing the leadership on from the company’s founders.
Clif Bar & Co. has hired a Tyson Foods executive as its new CEO, passing the leadership on from the company’s founders.
Sally Grimes, formerly Tyson’s group president for prepared foods, will take over from Clif Bar’s founders and co-CEOs, Gary Erickson and Kit Crawford, who will remain on the company’s board of directors. Her appointment is effective June 1.
Grimes holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and has held executive positions at Kraft Foods, Newell Rubbermaid and Hillshire Brands. She was named to Fortune’s “Most Powerful Women to Watch” and Fast Company’s “Top 100 Most Creative People in Business.”
“I am honored to join this extraordinary company at a time when people are looking to brands to lead by example, something Clif Bar has been doing for nearly 30 years,” Grimes said in a statement.
