He was Senior Vice President of Sales for Campbell Soup’s snack division; new management suite may be complete.
Cory Onell will become Senior Vice President-Head of U.S. Retail Sales at J. M. Smucker Co. effective April 27.
Onell has more than 20 years of experience leading sales organizations for consumer packaged goods companies, most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales for the nearly $4 billion snacks division of Campbell Soup Co.
He also held sales roles at Kimberly-Clark Corp., Mondelez International, SAB Miller, ACCO Brands, Sargento Foods and Hershey Co.
His position is one of several vacated in a management shakeup at the end of last year. That shuffling included the creation of the first chief operating officer role, which was filled in March by John Brase, who left Procter & Gamble.
Another new role from that shakeup was Geoff Tanner being promoted to Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer. Onell will report to him.
