Feb. 28, 2020
Among the 100 companies listed, only Mars represent the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
Fortune just published its 2020 Best Companies to Work Forlist this week and only one food and beverage manufacturer appeared on the list: Mars.
Mars, which is ranked No. 10 in our own Top 100 List of Food and Beverage Companies in the U.S. has appeared on the Fortune list for eight years. According to Great Place to Work, the firm that Fortune works with to put together its list, 93% of Mars' employees felt welcome when they joined the company with 91% indicating they're able to take time off from work when necessary. As younger generations, whose focus is on giving back to their communities, become more prevalent in the workforce, the 90% of Mars employees who feel good about the ways the company contributes to the community makes it an attractive company to work for.
Other perks reported included Mars’s $5,250 a year in tuition support, in addition to an “internal university." Roughly 35% of the company’s 14,000 employees have worked at Mars for more than a decade, and 41% of leadership positions are filled from within.
