The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), a group which seeks to enact positive change across the consumer goods industry, announced it had elected two new co-chairs to its Board of Directors: Coca-Cola's James Quincey and Alibaba's Daniel Zhang.
The announcement was made this week after the group's virtually-held Global Summit meeting. Both Quincey and Zhang will lead the CGF Board for two years and replace outgoing Co-Chairs Özgür Tort, CEO of Migros Ticaret, and Emmanuel Faber, former Chairman & CEO of Danone.
Frans Muller, CEO of Ahold Delhaize, and Alan Jope, CEO of Unilever, were appointed Vice Co-Chairs.
Leaders from across the globe presented at the event, which included discussions on building a sustainable future, accelerating the digital revolution, and empowering leaders. As part of his remarks during one leadership session, Quincey advised is fellow CPG leaders to "Trust your other colleagues. There’s enough smart people in the room; let them make the decision and move on."
