Tyson Foods is offering its employees a bonus of up to four hours’ pay for getting vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The policy, announced Feb. 17, applies to workers who get vaccinated outside of work from a non-company source. Tyson already is offering on-site vaccinations when available.
Tyson told Arkansas Business that it has already vaccinated “hundreds” of employees and expects to vaccine about a thousand more on-site in three states in the coming weeks.
"We're ready to vaccinate more of our people, especially through the free, on-site vaccination program we’ve developed,” said Tyson chief human resources officer Joanna Söderström. “However, vaccine availability continues to vary by state."
