Cal-Maine Foods Names Sherman Miller CEO

Egg producer and distributor Cal-Maine Foods today (Sept. 30) announced Sherman Miller, currently president and chief operations officer, is named president and chief executive officer of the company. He succeeds Dolph Baker, who will retain his role as chairman of the board.

Miller joined the company in 1996 and has served in various management positions during his 26-year tenure. He was named and vice president of operations in 2007, chief operations officer in 2011 and president in 2018. Earlier, he served in management positions at various processing plant locations including Chase, Kansas; Delta, Utah; and Edwards, Mississippi.

Baker will remain actively involved in managing Cal-Maine, with a focus on strategy, capital allocation, advising the senior management team and leading the board.
