Del Monte Foods Hires New CFO

Finance veteran had worked for Campbell Soup, General Mills and Procter & Gamble.

A food industry finance veteran is joining Del Monte Foods as chief financial officer.

Jim Caltabiano has worked as a finance professional for 30 years with major food and CPG companies. He most recently was executive VP and CFO for Ajinomoto Foods North America. Before that, he worked in various financial positions for 10 years at Campbell Soup Co., finishing as CFO of its fresh foods division. He also has worked in financial roles at General Mills and Procter & Gamble.

"Jim is a proven leader with a track record of driving growth and operational excellence within the CPG sector,” CEO Greg Longstreet said in a statement. “We're excited to draw on his impressive financial expertise as we continue to evolve and innovate, building upon Del Monte Foods' 135+ heritage as the original plant-based food company."
