Cargill Adds to its Executive Team with Appointments of Joanne Knight and Philippa Purser

Feb. 22, 2023
The Minneapolis-based company announced on February 20 that Knight has been appointed Chief Financial Officer while Purser is now Head of Strategy and Global Process Leader.

Cargill reported February 20 it was appointing two new additions to its leadership team. Joanne Knight has been named Chief Financial Officer while Philippa Purser has been named Head of Strategy and Global Process Leader. Knight had been serving as acting CFO following the departure of Jamie Miller in January. Prior to this role, she served as Vice President of Finance for Cargill's Agriculture Supply Chain enterprise.

Purser, who has been with Cargill for 32 years, serves as Cargill's Agriculture Supply Chain Group Leader in EMEA, and has focused on people and culture for much of her career. In her role, she'll be helping to advance the company's strategic priorities.

"The world is a diverse place," said Brian Sikes, Cargill President and CEO. "To nourish the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way, we need to bring more perspectives and voices to the table.
