Meyer Natural Foods Taps Former Cargill Exec For CEO Role

John Keating brings more than three decades leading various parts of the Cargill business to the chief executive officer role at Meyer Natural Foods.

Natural and organic proteins processor Meyer Natural Foods announced the appointment of industry veteran John Keating to the position of chief executive officer of the company. Keating had retired from Cargill in 2022 after more than three decades with the processor.

Prior to his retirement, Keating had most recently served as president of business operations and supply chain for Cargill’s North America business. Keating began as a beef production trainee at Cargill and quickly advanced through various roles including general manager and vice president of Cargill Beef Australia. In 2002 Keating returned to the U.S. as president of Cargill's food distribution and case-ready businesses before being promoted to president of Cargill Beef in 2008. Keating consulted with Meyer Natural Foods after his retirement, leading into this appointment as CEO.
