Maple Leaf Foods Inc. has appointed Curtis Frank to be its new president and chief executive officer. Frank takes over for Michael McCain, who will step down after 25 years leading the Canadian food processing company. McCain will continue on as executive chair of the board of directors.
Frank has spent more than two decades at Maple Leaf Foods, most recently serving as chief operating officer of the company for nearly five years, and senior vice president of retail sales just prior to that. According to his company bio, Frank has experience in all aspects of the food and agribusiness, having been raised on a mixed family farm in Saskatchewan and working in a variety of departments at Maple Leaf Foods.
