Specialty food maker Stonewall Kitchen has named Carrie McDermott the third CEO in the company’s 32-year history. Along with her appointment were four promotions to the C suite – all this according to the Specialty Food Assn.
McDermott replaces retiring John Stiker, who has been CEO since 2014. He will continue as a consultant to the business.
In addition to McDermott’s hiring, Stonewall Kitchen made four promotions. Steve Barone, former VP of manufacturing has been promoted to COO; Corey Fogarty, former VP of merchandising has been promoted to chief merchandising officer; Kathy Gilbert, former VP of national sales has been promoted to chief sales officer; and Janine Somers, former VP of marketing and direct-to-consumer sales has been promoted to chief marketing officer.
Before joining Stonewall Kitchen, McDermott was CEO of PetPeople, a retailer focused on natural pet food and supplies. Prior to that, she was president of Sally Beauty.
