New Belgium Brewing has reported that CEO Steve Fechheimer will step down in August after nearly six years at the helm of the Fort Collins, Colo., company. Fechheimer’s tenure, which began in 2017, has seen significant additions and changes in the company’s size and structure.
In 2019, New Belgium’s employee owners sold the company to the Lion Group, and the company was combined with Bell’s Brewery in 2021 after Lion purchased Bell’s. This year, New Belgium acquired a state-of-the-art, 259,000-square-foot production brewery in Daleville, Va., from Constellation Brands.
New Belgium CFO Danielle McLarnon, who brings 19 years of New Belgium experience to the table, will serve as interim CEO starting Aug. 1, until a permanent CEO is named.
