Hormel Foods has made four key appointments to its sales and marketing leadership team, announced by the company in separate releases today.
Hormel named Scott Aakre to group vice president and chief marketing officer for the Hormel Foods Retail business, and appointed Lisa Selk to take Aakre’s place as senior vice president of Brand Fuel — leading consumer insights and innovation for the company’s portfolio of more than 30 brands.
In addition, Natosha Walsh will take Selk’s place and become the new vice president of marketing for Convenient Meals and Proteins within the company’s Retail business, and Lynn Egner will step into the role of vice president of Retail sales – West.
Aakre, in his new role, will continue to evolve the brand portfolio to meet consumer demand, amplifying scale in snacking and entertaining, and growing the ethnic and food-forward portfolio, the company said in a release.
Selk’s new position will allow her to oversee the company’s hub for innovation, consumer and shopper insights, brand diagnostics and technology. The Brand Fuel “center of excellence” also houses the e-commerce and digital content team that supports the company's brands and businesses in the virtual marketplace.
Walsh will be responsible for the strategic marketing efforts for company brands including Spam, Skippy peanut butter and Justin’s nut butters.
Egner will take on the responsibilities that Walsh is leaving behind for her new position, overseeing the company’s retail sales strategy and execution with the company’s customers in the Western Region of the United States.
