Rich Products Adds New EVP and Chief Research and Development/FSQA Officer

Tracey Ziener leaves Mars to lead Rich’s global product innovation.

Rich Products lured Tracey Ziener away from Mars to become an executive vice president and chief research & development, food safety quality assurance officer. Ziener, who has more than 28 years of experience with major food brands, also joins Rich’s executive team.

She specializes in the development and delivery of new products, packaging and technology programs through agile innovation and FSQAR (Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulatory) processes, the Rich announcement said.

Ziener joins Rich’s after a long career at Mars, where she most recently served as vice president of research & development for the global chocolate business. “With global experience across Europe, the Middle East, Canada and the U.S., she’s worked in all areas of R&D, launching many innovations that can be seen on shelves today around the world,” her new company said.

She’s a U.K. native, with a bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry from Heriot-Watt University before earning a PhD in chemistry from Edinburgh Napier University.
