Olli Salumeria Appoints Food Industry Veteran as First-Ever CEO

Tim Goldsmid, who has more than 20 years of experience leading Pacific Foods, Jack Link’s, Red Baron and others, will take the reins of the California-based salami producer.

Olli Salumeria, producer of authentic Italian-style salami, announced the appointment of Tim Goldsmid as the company’s first chief executive officer.

Goldsmid, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the CPG food industry, will take on the day-to-day leadership of the California-based company, focused on elevating the commercial side of the business, including sales, marketing and innovation, stated a release from Olli Salumeria shared with Food Processing.

Prior to joining Olli, Goldsmid led the growth of several large food brands including Pacific Foods, Jack’s Links, Red Baron and several legacy General Mills brands including Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and Cascadian Farm.

The appointment of Goldsmid marks a milestone for the privately owned company, which was founded in 2010 in Richmond, Va., and expanded to a state-of-the-art facility in Oceanside, Calif., in 2015.

Olli Salumeria founder Oliviero Colmignoli will remain active in the company’s day-to-day business, serving as company president, with a key role in operations and product development.
