BlueTriton Brands, the venture capital-backed company that took over Nestle USA’s water business in 2021, has hired Joey Bergstein as CEO effective Nov. 28. He replaces Paul Norman.

He comes from Sabra Dipping Co., the PepsiCo-co-owned maker of hummus and other dips, where he served as president/CEO since 2021. Together with the Sabra team, he positioned Sabra for growth by resetting operations, strengthening food safety and quality, improving operational effectiveness and advancing innovation and sustainability, the Blue Triton announcement said.

Prior to Sabra, Bergstein was CEO at Seventh Generation, a brand of bio-based household and personal care products. He began his career with a decade at Procter & Gamble followed by leadership roles at Molson and Diageo.

Nestlé USA’s water business was purchased in March of 2021 by One Rock Capital Partners in partnership with Metropoulos & Co. and subsequently named Blue Triton. Brands include Pure Life, Poland Spring, Ice Mountain and Deer Park.
