Ruiz Food Products, which manfactures frozen Mexican food, has named current chief operating officer Kimberli Carroll as president and CEO, effective Jan. 21, 2024, according to a release sent by the company. Carroll replaces Dan Antonelli, who will transition to a new position with the company: executive board chair. Kim Ruiz Beck, a Ruiz Foods owner and current board chair, will remain on the board as an owner-director.
Carroll has spent more than two decades with Ruiz Foods, beginning her career with the company in marketing and working her way through the ranks to be named COO in September 2023. She had previously served as executive vice president, general manager, and chief commercial officer for Ruiz Foods’ foodservice and retail businesses.
“Kim Carroll quite literally grew up inside the Ruiz Foods organization over two decades,” said Kim Ruiz Beck. “She began her career in marketing, was a member of the team that developed and deployed the most successful new product in the company’s history, and has served as a leader implementing dynamic, transformative change throughout our entire supply, production and distribution chains.”
Ruiz Foods recently purchased two facilities in Vernon, Calif., adding approximately 150,000 square feet of future production space — and the company expected to begin operating the first production line in the first half of the company’s fiscal year 2025.
