Fortune International Appoints Six New Senior Executives to Corporate, Regional Teams
Fortune International LLC, the parent operating company of Fortune Fish & Gourmet, a full-service processor and distributor of fresh, live and frozen seafood and gourmet foods throughout the U.S., has appointed six senior executives to its team, according to a release from the company.
Fortune, which provides its products to white-tablecloth restaurants, private clubs, elegant hotels and gourmet retail stores, named Joel Jorgensen as chief financial officer, Richard Deferia as chief revenue officer and Kevin Hoople as chief information officer, all reporting to president and CEO Sean O’Scannlain.
Jorgensen brings more than 15 years of financial executive experience in food distribution and packaging to his CFO role. New CRO Deferia will lead and support national expansion efforts of the company’s distribution business, brining more than 15 years of his own experience in food and restaurant businesses. Hoople will oversee Fortune’s IT, information security teams and strategy as the new CIO. He has been an IT executive in food and distribution businesses for more than two decades.
In addition to those three moves, Fortune named Ethan Farber to the role of vice president of marketing, Steven Gwozdz to vice president of frozen seafood, and Trey Kidd to market vice president of Texas.
Farber brings nearly 20 years of experience in brand and creative strategy, strategic planning and business insights to the company. Meanwhile, Gwozdz brings experience as a senior food industry leader with expertise across fresh commodities and other categories. Kidd brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry to his new role overseeing Fortune’s Texas operations.
