Robert Vitale ended his medical leave and resumed duties as president/CEO of Post Holdings on Jan. 30, the company announced.
Vitale took an “unexpected” medical leave on Nov. 6 to deal with a cancer diagnosis. In a brief appearance two weeks later, he said surgery was completed and he was about to start radiation and chemotherapy treatment.
Because he expected that would “wipe out my energy levels for a period of time,” Jeff Zadoks stepped in as interim CEO. Zadoks now steps back into his position as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
“I am grateful to my family, my excellent medical team, my colleagues at Post and all who have supported me,” said Vitale. “I am excited and energized about what we will accomplish in 2024 and beyond.”
