Heiko Schipper will join Unilever on May 1 as president of the latter’s Nutrition Business Group, which includes most of its food products. He apparently replaces Hanneke Faber.
While he’s currently president of Bayer Consumer Health, Schipper has experience in the global food industry. He started his career at Nestlé, spending more than 20 years in sales and marketing roles in Asia before rising to lead Nestlé’s global nutrition business division as CEO in 2014. He’s been with Bayer in 2018.
Unilever’s Nutrition Business Group, created in a January 2022 reorganization, apparently consists of just three brands the company deems worth noting -- Hellman’s, Knorr and Horlicks -- but that group had €13.2 billion turnover in 2023. Ice cream is a separate business unit.
