Raw pet food processor Stella & Chewy’s has announced that Marie Moody will be its interim CEO and David Kapic will be promoted to president, effective immediately.

Moody, who founded the Oak Creek, Wis., company in 2003 and has served on the board of directors for more than 15 years, succeeds Marc Hill, who had been CEO since 2017. Her entrepreneurial spirit, deep understanding of the industry and inherent love for pets have been instrumental in the company’s growth, the announcement said.

Meanwhile, Kapic is moving up from his previous role as chief operating officer, and as president, he will be responsible for driving growth, making raw food more accessible and approachable, and continuing to lead the sales enterprise alongside Moody until the company appointed a chief sales officer.

Stella & Chewy’s offers frozen and freeze-dried raw patties and morsels, raw coated baked kibble, gently cooked meals, stews, broths and treats for dogs and cats.
