Tyler Ricks, who’s been with beverage brand Super Coffee, was named CEO of Caulipower, the seven-year-old Los Angeles firm replacing starches and flours in many frozen products – especially pizza – with cauliflower and other vegetables.
Ricks, who has been a member of Caulipower’s board of directors since 2022, replaces Marc Seguin, who led the company over the last two years “during a transitional period,” the company said. “His appointment comes as the company commits itself to a new phase of growth building off momentum created by nine new product launches in the last year.”
The news release noted the company’s sales are north of $120 million.
If this is any indication where Caulipower is headed, the company lauded Ricks’ 30-plus years of experience leading startups “through dynamic growth periods and successful exits.” After starting his career at PepsiCo, he worked with (and Caulipower indicated the acquirer firms) Plum Organics (acquired by Campbell’s), Bear Naked Granola (Kellogg), Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt (Unilever) and Wholesome Sweeteners (Whole Earth Brands), among others.
