Mark Tarzwell Retiring as COO of Mrs. T's Pierogies

Longtime employee LeeAnn Smulligan will replace him on Jan. 1, 2025.

Ateeco Inc., the manufacturer of Mrs. T's Pierogies, announced Mark Tarzwell will be retiring as chief operating officer effective Dec. 31. Longtime employee LeeAnn Smulligan will replace him.

Tarzwell has been at Mrs. T's/Ateeco nine year. Prior to Mrs. T's, he held executive roles at Ahold, Giant Food, D.L. Matthews and Acme Markets. He continues as an adjunct professor at Saint Joseph’s University teaching food marketing. Tarzwell also is treasurer for the National Frozen and Refrigerated Assn. and a board member of the Promotion Optimization Institute.

Smulligan, currently VP of operations, has spent two decades at Mrs. T’s.
