Vital Farms has announced Reena Van Hoven will be its new chief people officer (CPO) effective Sept. 16, 2024.
Van Hoven joins Vital Farms from Danone North America and will be expected to oversee the divisions of Vital Farms’ business including business partnerships, organization and people development and Total Rewards. The CPO role is a new position for Vital Farms.
Van Hoven brings nearly 20 years of experience as a human resources leader for Fortune 500 companies and brands. At Danone North America, she had most recently service as North American senior vice president of Talent and Rewards — and had held various HR leadership roles since 2017.
Before her time at Danone, she was head of human resources at Earthbound Farms and had worked for Earthbound’s parent company, WhiteWave Foods, and Deloitte.
Vital Farms’ senior vice president of People & Strategy, Stephanie Coon, will continue as the company’s senior vice president of Strategy, a move designed to increase her focus solely on the strategy aspect of growing the business to a $1 billion company, the Vital Farms release noted.
