Egglife Foods Inc., an Indiana maker of egg-based wraps, appointed Brent Gravlee, Clif Bar’s former vice president of sales, as its first chief revenue officer.
Egglife apparently needs one. In just four years, Egglife has grown from $4 million to $50 million in annual sales. “This strategic move aims to further accelerate the company's success and expand its footprint as Egglife prepares for its next phase of aggressive growth, innovation and expansion into new categories,” today’s media announcement said.
Gravlee brings more than 20 years of diverse industry experience to Egglife Foods. He was chief commercial officer for start-up brand Munk Pack, spent time at General Mills and Mondelez and had a 17-year career with Clif Bar.
Currently, Egglife’s only products are tortilla-like wraps with egg whites replacing all the flour. They’re available in 40% of U.S. grocery retail locations and last week expanded into Canada. But the company – our small-company R&D Team of the Year – hinted it will launch in a new category before the end of this year.
