Pernod Ricard USA (PRUSA) has appointed Paul Basford to be its new chief commercial officer, reporting to Conor McQuaid, chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard North America, according to a release shared with Food Processing.
Basford brings with him more than 20 years of leadership experience in global beverages, most recently having served as president and managing director, USA, for William Grant & Sons. He has spent time working in sales transformation, brand growth and strategic planning roles in alcoholic and non-alc segments, holding senior positions at Danone Waters of America, Britvic Soft Drinks and Diageo.
Basford is expected to play a key role defining and executing the commercial vision and strategy to build PRUSA’s portfolio and drive topline growth. He will focus on commercial planning, execution and transformation, all while supporting talent development and the company’s long-term priorities.
Pernod Ricard USA’s portfolio of spirits, wines and champagnes includes such popular brands as Absolut, Jameson, Chivas, the Glenlivet, Beefeater, Malibu and Kahlùa, among others.
