Frozen Foods Brand Deep Indian Kitchen Appoints Chief Sales Officer

Brian Sorenson has been tasked with carrying forward the frozen Indian meals, breads and appetizers brand into a new phase following five years of sustained growth.

Frozen entrées brand Deep Indian Kitchen has appointed Brian Sorenson to be its chief sales officer, according to a release shared with Food Processing.

Sorenson brings nearly 30 years of CPG industry experience to the role, having most recently served as head of Sales & Business Development for Factory LLC, an emerging brands investor and accelerator. Prior to that, he was executive vice president of Sales & Enterprise Client Services for Advantage Solutions and spent 25 years at Nestle and PowerBar.

With Deep Indian Kitchen, Sorenson will be tasked with driving the next phase of growth for the brand, which has had more than 8x sales growth over the past five years, the release noted. Deep Indian Kitchen believes his expertise as a sales leader, strategist and advisor for manufacturers and retailers will offer holistic support for its customers.

Deep Indian Kitchen launched in 2019 and is owned by Deep Foods Inc., a third-generation Indian-American family company that has manufactured Indian food for the Indian-American community since 1977. The brand’s meals, breads and appetizers are available in the frozen section of more than 21,000 stores nationwide.
