Jones Soda Co. named its fourth CEO in as many years with the hiring of Scott Harvey, announced yesterday (Feb. 5). Along with him, Brian Meadows was named chief financial officer.
Harvey most recently was president of Dunn Brothers Coffee, a chain of coffee shops offering small-batch roast coffee in seven states. His 40-year career includes executive posts with Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery, Black Rifle Coffee Co., Nathan's Famous and Einstein Noah Restaurant Group.
Meadows has more than 25 years of experience as a CFO and senior executive in CPG, food ingredients, telecommunications and other industries, including public companies. He most recently served as CFO for Simply Better Brands Corp., maker of Trubar nutrition bars.
Harvey replaces David Knight, who departed on Oct. 25, 2024, after just more than a year. Mark Murray was CEO from late 2020 to 2023, and Jennifer Cue served eight years as CEO until she left in 2020.
"In the last three months we have adjusted our business plan to prioritize what we believe to be the most promising segments of our portfolio, including new products in our innovation pipeline,” said Paul Norman, Jones' chairman of the board and who has been serving as interim CEO. “We are confident that we now have all the pieces in place to deliver high growth and profitable performance.”
