Mondelēz Names Two EVPs, One for R&D and One for Europe
Mondelēz International has two new executive vice presidents, one also chief research & development officer and the other president for Europe. Both report directly to Chairman and CEO Dirk Van de Put.
Norberto Chaclin is the EVP and head of R&D. He was the company’s senior vice president of R&D for Global Biscuits and Regional R&D partner for North America. Before joining Mondelēz, Chaclin spent 18 years with PepsiCo in a series of roles spanning Frito-Lay North America, PepsiCo International, Global Beverages and Joint Ventures – ultimately leading R&D for PepsiCo North America Beverages and the Pepsi/Starbucks joint venture.
Mondelēz’s EVP and chief in Europe, Vinzenz Gruber, will retire on April 1. Replacing him is Volker Kuhn. He joined the company on Jan. 6 from Reckitt's hygiene business, its largest global unit. Earlier, he was Reckitt's chief transformation officer. Before Reckitt, Kuhn spent 26 years with Procter & Gamble. Kuhn also serves as chairman and a non-executive board member of Frosta AG, a European frozen food company.
