Chocolatier Pladis Names New Americas Chief

Jeremy Faa becomes managing director of Americas business on May 1; outgoing Carlos Canals moves to the company’s global operations.

Pladis, the company behind chocolate brands Godiva, Flipz and Turtles, names Jeremy Faa managing director of its Americas business effective May 1.

Faa has more than 30 years’ experience in food and drink, mainly at Coca Cola, where he most recently served as president of North America South Zone. He’s since held a series of advisor and consultancy positions including at technology venture capital fund BridgeTech.

Current managing director for the Americas, Carlos Canals, will take a new role as chief business development officer in the company’s global operations.

Although the parent is based in London, Pladis Americas employs 600, is headquartered in White Plains, N.Y., and operates two manufacturing facilities in New York State and Pennsylvania.
