Shane Grant, a Danone group deputy CEO, is leaving the company effective June 13 “to pursue a new opportunity outside of the company,” Danone SA reported.
Grant’s titles included CEO Americas and EVP of Dairy, Plant-Based and Global Sales, as well as being a member of Danone’s executive committee. He’s a native of New Zealand but has resided in North America since 2005.
Grant has been with Danone since 2020, when he was named CEO of Danone North America. He left Coca-Cola Co. after almost 20 years, most recently as president of the still beverages business unit (water, sports, tea and coffee) for Coca-Cola North America. He earlier was senior vice president of Glacéau and president of Coca-Cola Canada.
For now, Véronique Penchienati-Bosetta, another group deputy CEO, will take over Shane’s scope, in addition to her current responsibilities.
Grant’s “leadership has been key in advancing Danone's business—from North America to Latin America, from commercial teams to categories — leaving a strong base on which we will further build,” said CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique.
