Now that the dust has settled on PepsiCo’s $1.95 billion acquisition of the prebiotic soda company, Poppi’s chief marketing officer Andy Judd has stepped down, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“After an extraordinary journey with poppi, I’ve stepped away from my role as CMO,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “It has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career to lead such a talented team, help shape this brand, drive unprecedented growth, and work alongside the most amazing leadership team as we revolutionized soda for the next generation.”
Adweek quoted a Poppi spokesperson that its marketing organization “is now led by chief growth officer Jeff Rubenstein, who will also retain oversight of international expansion," but didn’t say whether the company plans to backfill its CMO role. Judd joined Poppi in 2023.
Judd previously worked as chief commercial officer at Laird Foods, Unilever-owned brand Yasso and Hershey-owned protein bar line One Brands, according to Adweek, and had tenures at Danone and Campbell’s.
