Molson Coors Beverage Co. has appointed Rahul Goyal to be its new president and chief executive officer (and to join the board of directors), succeeding Gavin Hattersley in the role, effective Oct. 1, 2025. Hattersley, who announced his retirement plans in April 2025, will remain in an advisory role through the end of the calendar year.

Goyal will exit his current role as chief strategy officer to take on the new position atop the company. Goyal started at Coors Brewing Co. in Golden, Colo., and over the past 24 years, he has held global leadership roles such as chief information officer in the UK and chief financial officer in India for the company.

As chief strategy officer, Goyal focused on expansion of the company’s portfolio and drove its “beyond beer” ambitions, building partnerships with The Coca-Cola Co. and Fever-Tree, and leading acquisitions of Zoa and Naked Life. He also played a key role in management of The Yuengling Co., a joint venture with D.G. Yuengling and Son.
