Beverage brand Liquid Death has appointed Ricky Khetarpaul to be its chief financial officer, according to a release from the company. He will oversee the company’s finance organization and report directly to Mike Cessario, founder and CEO of Liquid Death.
Khetarpaul brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, having most recently served as CFO of Health-Ade, guiding the company through its acquisition by Generous Brands. Liquid Death highlighted his background in scaling consumer brands and driving transformative growth.
Previous to that, Khetarpaul helped build the national retail distribution footprint for Lavazza North America, where he also strengthened repeat purchases through pricing architecture and innovation. He has also held critical roles at PepsiCo, Sabra Dipping Co. and Walgreens Boots Alliance.
Andy Hanacek has covered meat, poultry, bakery and snack foods as a B2B editor for nearly 20 years, and has toured hundreds of processing plants and food companies, sharing stories of innovation and technological advancement throughout the food supply chain. In 2018, he won a Folio:Eddie Award for his unique "From the Editor's Desk" video blogs, and he has brought home additional awards from Folio and ASBPE over the years. In addition, Hanacek led the Meat Industry Hall of Fame for several years and was vice president of communications for We R Food Safety, a food safety software and consulting company.
