Frankford Candy, a fourth-generation, family-owned manufacturer of licensed confections and gifts in Philadelphia, says Stuart Selarnick, CEO of 25 years, will transition to chairman of the board. Christopher Munyan succeeds him as CEO.

Selarnick has been with the company 38 years. Since becoming CEO in 2000, Selarnick led the company’s strategy to bring some of the biggest names in the entertainment and food industries to the candy aisle. Frankford grew from a small family-run chocolate manufacturer of seasonal novelties to become No. 16 in the confections industry and the largest manufacturer and marketer of licensed confections and gifts in the U.S.

Munyan brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in consumer products. Most recently, he was a partner at Invest Consumer Partners, a private equity firm focused on licensed consumer products, where he co-led four consumer products acquisitions. From 1993-2020, Munyan held senior executive roles at CSS Industries Inc., a supplier of celebration products across multiple retail channels.
