Diageo plc has named Dave Lewis to be its new chief executive officer and executive director, effective Jan. 1, 2026, according to a release from the global company.
Lewis currently serves as chair of global consumer healthcare company Haleon — a role he will leave Dec. 31, 2025, and that he has held since 2022 when the company was created. Previously, he was group CEO of Tesco plc from 2014 to 2020 and held executive committee roles, leading marketing and business performance for Unilever, the culmination of nearly three decades working for the company.
Lewis will take over for interim CEO Nik Jhangiani, who will resume his role as CFO once Lewis steps into the CEO position. Interim CFO Deirdre Mahlan will step down from that role and continue to support Diageo through the transition, the company said.
