Keurig Dr Pepper Hires Anthony DiSilvestro as Chief Financial Officer
In preparation for its split into two companies, Keurig Dr Pepper this week hired Anthony DiSilvestro, longtime CFO of Campbell Soup Co., as chief financial officer. The announcement didn’t specify if he would be the apparent CEO of the spun-off coffee company.
DiSilvestro replaces Sudhanshu Priyadarshi, CFO and president of KDP’s international business, who will serve as a strategic advisor for the company through April 7, 2026. Priyadarshi, who has been with the company since 2022, initially was tabbed as CEO of Global Coffee Co., the tentative name for the spinoff.
DiSilvestro immediately comes from Mattel Inc., where he was CFO for five years. Before that, he spent 24 years at Campbell, serving as CFO 2014-2019, a time of multiple acquisitions and divestitures. Earlier, he spent 11 years at Scott Paper Co.
In August, Keurig Dr Pepper revealed it’s acquiring mostly-European company JDE Peet’s for €15.7 billion (about $18 billion today). Then it will split into two separate companies, one focused on coffee globally – with KDP contributing Keurig Green Mountain – and the other on soft drinks, mostly domestically.
The separated companies, apparently with public stock listings, tentatively are called Beverage Co. and Global Coffee Co. Tim Cofer, KDP’s CEO, is tabbed as CEO of the beverage company.
Cofer said DiSilvestro “will play a crucial role in sustaining our company's strong base business momentum, while drawing on his significant M&A experience to facilitate the successful integration of JDE Peet's and ultimate creation of two winning companies.”
As part of this leadership transition, KDP also announced expanded roles for two senior financial leaders.
George Lagoudakis, currently SVP of Commercial Finance, is taking on the newly created role of Deputy CFO. In this role, Lagoudakis will assume additional responsibility to ensure the successful separation and establishment of the future Beverage Co.
Jane Gelfand recently took on the expanded role of SVP Strategic Finance and Capital Markets. In this role, Gelfand continues to lead Investor Relations and International Finance, while assuming additional responsibility related to transaction management and financing for the upcoming acquisition and separation.
