He’s been with the company since its creation and has been chief financial officer since 2018; a search is underway for a CFO.
Jan. 30, 2026

Mondelez International’s chief financial officer Luca Zaramella on Feb. 1 will be promoted to an executive vice president and chief operating officer, the last a new title within the company. He remains CFO while the company searches for his replacement in finance.

From his LinkedIn profile, looks like Zaramella has been with Mondelez since at least 2011 – about the time Kraft Foods first announced it was creating and splitting off Mondelez – when he was named senior VP of finance for Europe. In 2014, he moved to Chicago-area headquarters and began a steady rise up the financial side of the business, becoming CFO in 2018.

Zaramella will have responsibility for the company’s commercial operations in its four geographical regions, as well as other duties. He will continue to report directly to chair and CEO Dirk Van de Put. A search is underway for a CFO.
