Clemens Family Corp. (CFC) CEO and chairman Craig Edsill will retire from his CEO position with the company effective April 30, 2026, according to a release from the company shared with Food Processing. Edsill will continue as chairman of the CFC board.
CFC will elevate current Clemens Food Group president Brad Clemens, who represents the fifth generation of Clemens family leadership in the company, to CEO of CFC. Clemens was named president of the food group in 2021, and he has led teams in food safety, quality, regulatory affairs, research and development, customer solutions, and enterprise strategy since joining Clemens Food Group in 2011. Prior to that, he practiced corporate law at Blank Rome LLP in Philadelphia.
Finally, current Clemens Food Group COO Chris Carey will be promoted to fill Brad Clemens’ role as president of the food business. Carey brings 17 years of experience with Clemens Food Group to the role, having held leadership roles in finance, supply chain, operations and customer solutions.
Edsill’s retirement comes after 23 years of growth — the business grew from $300 million in annual revenue to nearly $3 billion, and its workforce increased by a factor of 10 (600 to 6,000 employees).
