Meghan Markle Launches American Riviera Orchard Brand With Jars of Jam

April 16, 2024
The strawberry preserve is believed to be the first product of her new ‘lifestyle brand.’

Another celebrity, this time a former (?) British royal, has entered the food industry. Meghan Markle launched her new “lifestyle brand” American Riviera Orchard by sending jars of strawberry jam to "influencers" across the U.S. Food Processing's jar hasn't arrived yet.

The jam apparently will be the first product from American Riviera Orchard, which was announced online last month. According to British news medium The Independent, the jam featured the new company’s label and handwritten numbers that showed it was one of 50 jars produced.

News of the jam was met with much enthusiasm by fans of the Duchess of Sussex and former actress, who took to social media to share their excitement, The Independent wrote.

Meghan, of course, married Prince Harry, the younger son of Britain’s King Charles III, but the couple moved to America and officially stepped back from their roles as senior members of the royal family. They now live in California.

The Independent added, “While it’s not yet known exactly what the new brand’s offerings will be, The United States Patent and Trademark Office website reports that the company is registered to sell downloadable and printed recipe books, table wear, textiles, as well as foods like jam and marmalade.”
