2024 Manufacturing Outlook Survey eBook: Riding the Rollercoaster

March 27, 2024
The results for our annual Manufacturing Outlook Survey are in. The roller coaster of optimism continues.

Our annual Manufacturing Outlook Survey shows optimism has risen for 2024, problems sourcing equipment and parts are down, but labor shortages and tempered capital spending budgets could put the brakes on growth.

Optimism is up some 7 percentage points from last year, with two-thirds of food and beverage processors feeling somewhat (47%) or very optimistic (20%) for manufacturing in the new year. However, anticipation of increased production slid from 77% last year to 69% this year. In all, there are 16 infographics representing responses to this, our 23rd annual manufacturing survey. The only place to see responses to all 16 survey questions is in this report.
